How to apply for a Library Card

Residents and tax-paying non-residents of the North Babylon School District are entitled to a library card. To apply for a library card, two forms of ID with name and address are required.

Library cards for children under the age of 12 require proof of residency and signature of parent or legal guardian. Young adults ages 12 to 18 require one proof of residency or North Babylon Public School ID.
Examples of valid ID include:  Driver’s License, utility bill, vehicle registration, deed or lease, tax bill, recent mail ( only one is acceptable) check book, or voter registration card.

Proof of residency will also be required every three years to renew expired cards. Library cards must be clear of all delinquencies before they are renewed.
Patrons who work in the North Babylon Public Library district, but do not reside in Suffolk County, may apply for a local use only Library card. Patrons must show proof of residency and work i.d.(paystub, work tags). Any questions please contact the Circulation Desk, 631-669-4020.
