How to Reserve a Museum Passes
Looking for a fun free outing with your family? We have procured FREE Museum passes for the following locations:
American Airpower Museum
Brooklyn Botanic Gardens
Children’s Museum of Manhattan
Children’s Museum of the East End
Cold Spring Harbor Whaling Museum
Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum
The Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum
Museum of the City of New York
New York Historical Society–NEW
Old Westbury Gardens
Paley Center for Media–NEW
Vanderbilt Museum/Planetarium
North Babylon Library cardholders can make a reservation for a specific date, pick up the pass the day before and return it the day after. Free Museum Passes are available to North Babylon Public Library cardholders in good standing who have signed the Museum Pass Agreement Rev. 9.11.
A new agreement form must be signed each time a museum pass is checked out and kept at the Reference Desk.
Patron must be 18 years of age or older to reserve and check out museum passes.
Only one Museum Pass may be checked out to a patron at a given time.
Individual passes can only be reserved once in a 30 day period.
Passes can be reserved up to two months in advance by phone, online or in person at the Library.
Patrons should check the individual museum’s homepage for any closings or hour changes.
PLEASE NOTE: The Vanderbilt Planetarium is currently only open on weekends.
Due to damage from Hurricane Sandy, the following are not currently open or available at the Intrepid Air and Space Museum: Our Welcome Center, which includes our retail store and one of the two Au Bon Pain locations in the complex, the Space Shuttle Pavilion, which includes the display of Space Shuttle Enterprise, audio tour rentals and our ATM machine.
