March 12, 2020
During the past weeks the community has turned to your library to verify information about COVID-19, to provide data, to help navigate unfamiliar websites, and to provide reading material. We have been using only authoritative resources (WHO, NYSDoH, SCDoH, etc.) for the most up to date information.
The health and well-being of our community is our first and foremost concern.
We have also been monitoring the news to be sure we make the right choices
for our community. At the current time, the library remains open for all
regularly scheduled hours. We will continue serving our patrons while
maintaining the safety and health of our staff and public. To facilitate that
goal, we have:
• Implemented best practices cleaning/disinfecting/sanitizing protocols at the beginning of March
• Removed items such as toys, puzzles and other playthings.
• We are re-evaluating all programs and we are prepared to cancel such programs as necessary
In addition, we have many on line resources available to you from our website.
We will do our best to keep you informed via this website.
