Dazzling iPad Apps

apps The iPad is one of the most successful computer products in history. Much of its popularity is due to the more than one million apps that users can download, many of which are free. Join us to see in-depth demonstrations of apps that take advantage of the iPad’s unique multimedia and display attributes. This will include educational, reading (e-books and e-magazines) and entertainment apps.

  January/February program registrationis underway. Young adult programs are open to students, grades 6-12 with a North Babylon Public Library card. Visit Newsletter on the top menu for a complete listing of our upcoming programs. Patrons can register online or in-person. Programs with a fee must be registered for in-person. All fees are non-refundable.
Children’s program registration begins January 2nd and February 2nd. Children’s programs are limited to North Babylon cardholders only. Please contact the Library(631-669-4020), for any additional information regarding programs.

**New**Hoopla

hoopla2Hoopla is a new service that allows North Babylon Library cardholders access to thousands of movies, television, music, and audiobook titles. All you need is a current NB library card and a web browser, phone, or tablet. The Hoopla web site and mobile apps are easy to use. Start streaming immediately, or download a title to your phone or tablet for offline viewing later. Items return automatically so there are never any late fees. Each patron may checkout 7 titles a month. Movie/television selections viewed on a computer/laptop require a one-time software download.
